Coconut Head - Turnip


Handmade in Mexico City, these Coconut Heads certainly pack a punch, especially when hung in a group.  Super striking Mr Turnip Head with his proud green hairdo and whiskers on his chin.

Made by Nahuatl artists who live in the Mezcala region in the Guerrero State of Mexico, Coconut shell masks have been made in Mexico since the 1950's. Made using coconuts, papier mache, paint, varnish and straw.

Each product is handmade so there are likely to be variations in both colour and size.
