Raised Embroidery/Stumpwork Class, Tuesday 28th November

Enjoy a morning sampling the basic techniques of Raised embroidery, a technique known as 'Stumpwork' in the Montes&Clark shop in Tisbury, Wiltshire.  We will cover techniques such as wire work, close buttonhole work and cover as many of the fascinating raised techniques that this very niche embroidery form holds.

The classes will be taught by Kate Clark, a graduate of The Royal School of Needlework with over 20 years experience of working within the textiles world.  Kate is an experienced teacher and has taught many classes including at the The V&A, The British Museum & The Fashion & Textiles Museum in Bermondsey.  

The class will run from 10am and finish at 1pm with a quick tea, coffee and cake break at 11.30am.  There will be a maximum of 3 people per class, so you will get lots of attention.  Classes are suitable for age 14 and above.
