A lifetime treasure, this board game has been hand made by Highly skilled textiles artists in Kutch, India.  The board is a mini quilt of vegetable dyed fabric and the woman of Nagar Parkar use patchwork, embroidery and applique to create this incredible piece of functional art.

Cloth versions of games have been stitched since at least the Mogul era, and were often included in a girl's dowry, embellished as opulently as the family could afford.  Today they are made to earn a living for their families.
