Darning & Patching class, Saturday 30th September

Get your much loved jumpers mended in time for winter or bring any of your favourite clothes that are in need of a bit of attention to the Montes&Clark shop in Tisbury, Wiltshire to learn how to mend them.  Bring something that is preferably not in tatters, but anything with a small sized hole, a fine wool or cashmere jumper or a piece of cotton clothing. and we will learn how to darn using a 'darning mushroom' as well as top darning and patching techniques. 

The class will be taught by Kate Clark, a graduate of The Royal School of Needlework with over 20 years experience of working within the textiles world.  Kate is an experienced teacher and has taught many classes including at the The V&A, The British Museum & The Fashion & Textiles Museum in Bermondsey.  

The class will run from 10am and finish at 1pm with a quick tea, coffee and cake break at 11.30am.  There will be a maximum of 4 people per class, so you will get lots of attention.  Classes are suitable for age 14 and above.

All materials needed will be provided on the day and are included in the price of the class.
