'Angel with Harp' is part of a limited edition collection made by Stained Glass artist Jamie Clark. This collection of 3 angels are a homage to English Medieval Glass. Traditional Stained Glass (leaded blown glass) is now on the endangered crafts list, so we felt it important to commission these pieces in appreciation of this ancient English Tradition.
"Traditional hand blown glass catches natural light in a way that no other material can, and the imagery of Angels reflects this in a profound way. When making these angels, Jamie describes the privilege of working with Glass and Lead as having a kind of alchemy in it's process. The cutting and selection of beautiful blown glass is followed by staining and painting, which is then fired in a kiln. The 'silver stain' (from which stained glass gets its name) reacts with the glass at heat to produce a yellow hue. The darker painted lines are followed by a thin layer of glass paint that is brushed away to reveal the jewel like colour of the glass. It is literally like painting with light."
Leaded, with a copper loop for hanging at the top.

A very small number of angels will be made, and there will be slight variations in tone of glass and subtle differences in painting.
