Course of Saturday ART SESSIONS - Chafyn Grove - 26th Sep - 5th Dec

Explorative Art classes taught by Jamie Clark MA, at Chafyn Grove Art Department, Salisbury.  26th Sep - 5th Dec (excluding 24th Oct)

Sessions from 10am-12.30 for ages 7-11

Sessions from 13.30- 16.00 for ages 12-16

The Course is sold as a block of 10 sessions - we will not be able to reimburse any missed sessions.

Jamie is an experienced Art teacher with 17 years teaching in Primary and Secondary schools.  He is also a practicing stained glass artist and believes strongly in the importance of building creative confidence, alongside observational skills and an overall appreciation and love of art.  These days will be fun and informal, they are a chance for your child to explore and develop their creativity, no prior experience is necessary and enjoyment is the primary aim.

In both sessions there will be a maximum of 10 children.  The classes will be held at the Chafyn Grove site of Chafyn Godolphin, Salisbury and will focus on a different approach to drawing painting or printmaking each week. Techniques will include ink and wash drawing, various printmaking techniques, Gouache and Watercolour, Oil Pastels and Charcoal, Ceramics and sculptural form. 

The afternoon sessions are an ideal opportunity for children to expand on skills and develop a more investigative and independent approach to creativity. These sessions also hope to complement the Art which is taking place in school and can be an opportunity to build on GCSE coursework, scholarship portfolios and D of E drawing skills.

We are very lucky to have access and use of the Chafyn Grove (now part of Chafyn Godolphin) Art department which has a broad range of facilities including, a kiln and ceramics room, a printing press and woodworking facilities as well as an abundance of outdoor space.
